Scout Willis and her attorneys chose wisely when they decided to fight her June 4 misdemeanor charges for drinking in public (open container) and use of a false ID (impersonation). The judge offered to dismiss all charges in exchange for two days of community service and six months of good behavior.
Technically known as an adjournment in contemplation of dismissal, Willis wasn’t required to be present in court or offer a plea.
Willis is the middle child of actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore as well as a Brown University student. She was underage when charged in June but turned 21 recently.
Willis was in Union Square when approached by police in June. The report claimed she was drinking a specific size and brand of Pakistani beer but her attorneys demonstrated that the beer wasn’t available in the U.S. and therefore couldn’t have been present at the time. She also allegedly presented a “friend’s” ID before admitting to her true identity and age.
