According to the Havre Daily News, the city council’s Ordinance Committee spent almost one year debating a new pet law but barely two months between first considering a Social Host Ordinance and sending the final bill for a vote by the city council. Maybe Havre’s Ordinance Committee isn’t up to the task of weighing the implications and consequences of a SHO, but at least they gave the citizens of Havre ample time to discuss it and ask questions. What’s that? Oops. The citizenry have less than an hour before the vote on April 18 for their first public discussion of the ordinance. Maybe it’s time to send Havre’s officials to the doghouse?
